synopsis:

Following up my feature debut, Robbing Peter, I wrote this screenplay about Sloppy Unruh, a charming musical rogue who’s been wandering the country for the past 20 years. When Sloppy returns to his small hometown in West Texas, he's welcomed by all except his younger brother, the interim sheriff, who can't forgive him for his grifter past. The only way Sloppy can stay is if he runs for sheriff against his brother in the upcoming election.
